The Crux

The current crux
so (in)conveniently thrust
upon us
this Christmas season:

Will we follow the Jesus
who conveniently brings us
a reindeer, a jolly old elf,
and one on a shelf,

Or the Jesus
who boldly called out sinners,
and loved them every day
beyond His dying day?
