Resolved

Resolute in what must occur.
Resolved, unshaken and sure.
The importance of the matter at hand.
Unwavering, I now take my stand.

Through yon’ door lie tasks of import.
All things hinge beyond that port.
Taken my stand, I start my stride.
For from this fate, I’d never hide.

Upon this portal’s edge I tread.
Such vital tasks that lie ahead.
And now I’ve crossed said portal’s line…

… Why I’ve come has slipped my mind.
